What would you highlight about Antares hostel

Wonderful

There was free breakfast, just bread and jam and coffee and cereals, nothing special or typically french, but for free breakfast it was okay. I booked a dorm with 6 beds, but I even got one with only 4 beds. The hostel is only 5 minutes away from the train station Nice ville which is great.

Good communal areas, close to train station

Had to walk about 20 mins to get to the beach and the parts of Nice i wanted to visit. Didn’t feel very safe at night. Good location for if you plan on doing day trips, though.

Very Good

Prefect location. 2 minutes walk from the train station and 10minutes walk to the city centre which you can find all shops and restaurants. There’s staff to clean your room everyday

One of the best I stayed

Good location just next to Nice Ville train station to go anywhere, tram near by, 10-15 minutes walk to the beach and old city. Staff were super friendly and helpful, my flight was delayed by 4 hours, arrived at 02:00 am, they waited for me to cheek in after late hours. Also, on another day that I was just passing by Nice again, they let me store my luggage until late with no problem. Thank you guys, I really appreciate it. Beds were comfortable, clean rooms, plugs near the bunk bed, common areas and toilets, lift to go up to the rooms and dorms, nice outside terrace, games room, free continental breakfast, I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone going to visit Nice for long or short time.

Very nice stay

Thé social areas were great and there was lots of them. The staff were super friendly. It was really easy to make friends

I thought the hostel was a bit expensive as it is just a hostel but cost the same as a hotel. Maybe more social nights could be arranged

I only stayed one night here but it was very comfortable

Staff was great! Helpful and kind. I was moved to a smaller more private room upon arrival merely out of kindness and so I had a private bathroom inside that I shared with just 2 other girls :D

Very Good

Loved Nice so much I extended my stay at this hostel. The location, air con and outdoor deck were the best features.

The bank card machine was broken almost the entire time I was there (3 nights) - which forces you to hit the streets to hunt for an ATM (not very close by) and then carry around large sums of cash. I also didn’t know there was a shared kitchen and lounge in the basement until my last morning!

Convenient location to public transport

The location - it’s one of the few hostels/hotels I’ve been able to see from the train station when I arrived! It’s also very close to the tram stop which travels up and from from the beach if you need it, as well as heaps of food options. The outdoor terrace was a nice and chill spot.

The rooms were “tatty” around the edges and in need of an off-season general maintenance session. In my first room the floors creaked every time you walked and In the second room I stayed in, I couldn’t wash my face or clean my teeth in the sink because there was a glass shelf directly above it! Very strange. I didn’t agree with the single use cups for coffee/tea. Why use them when we use reusable plates for the bread and wash them ourselves anyway? Note: Breakfast bread only passable if toasted.

Cheap and cheerful

The property was in a good location in Nice, a walk away from most of the main attractions in the city. The staff made sure that there would be a bottom bed available for me after notifying them that my flight had been severely delayed (Wizz Air!). I didn’t use them but there are metal cages where you can padlock your luggage shut in order to avoid theft and protect your goods.

Apart from the obvious negatives related to hostels, the beds felt like you were sleeping on the floor, however, for the price compared to other locations in the region. This is the only negative of my experience.

It's a good place for a 1-2 nights

There is an amiable staff, the possibility to leave luggage after your stay, small breakfast. The localization is good- 5 min from the train station

The price is so high. You need to have your own locker. Boxes for things are "gridded", so all your things are visable

Amazing staff

The hostel staff was amazing and really helpful, there was free breakfast, we got every day a fresh towel and the area outside as well as the kitchen were also super lovely and huge!

Unfortunately the shower in our room was super tiny and our room felt pretty moisty even though we opened the window regularly (which was broken by the way and it was always risky to touch it) and the hostel itself looks not really modern

Very good

The rooms and common areas were cleaned every day! They also some events that helped socialising! Overall, it was great for a couple of nights and would recommend it!

The hair dryer wasn't working, and it didn't seem like it was going to be fixed when it was mentioned. It is not a necessity, but still, it would be nice to have it.

Very good

Super close to the station, there is a small supermarket nearby - very convenient for checking in after a long journey on the train. The room is neat and has everything you need. When both the windows are closed, the noise from the road doesn't bother.

I wish there was any parking associated to the hotel, had to figure it out on our own.
